80's Fun with CTMH

I don't know about you, but I absolutely LOVE a theme!  Give me the teeniest, tiniest reason to get dressed up and I am 110% in.

My friends and I decided to go to a local 80's/90's karaoke night this Saturday...complete with costume contest.  So of course, we all are going to dress up.  There's just one problem.  I don't own ANY of my 80's gear anymore and it's not October, which means the costume stores are gone.

No big deal!  CTMH is here to save the day!  I picked up a cheap black shirt at Walmart for $4.99 on my way home from work (you can also get cheap tees at most craft stores).  When I got home, I pulled out my Cricut machine and some rolls of Cricut iron-on material.  These can also be purchased at local craft stores or on the Cricut web site.

Then I pulled up images from the CTMH Artistry Cricut Cartridge.  There are a LOT of great design elements on here that go with 80's style.  I pulled a few that I liked, rearranged them with some basic geometric shapes, and finally settled on a really neat "Awesome" with a lightning bolt coming off of it on top of some triangles.

All I had to do was cut the different pieces and iron them on the shirt.  I cut the neck off the shirt so that it would slouch on my shoulders, and BAM...I'm back in the 80's!

If you love this design, please share this blog post with your friends and let me know in the comments below!  And, just because we are like, totally the bestest friends ever, I'm going to like, totally share this radical file with you in Cricut Design Space so that you can easily duplicate it!  Now we can all be bodacious babes together! (Be sure to flip (mirror) the image before cutting.  Otherwise it will be cut backwards)
